Coaching

What is coaching?

The International Coach Federation defines coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”   It is a collaborative relationship that is completely focused on the client and his/her agenda.  It is a powerful results- and action-oriented process which helps individuals close the gap between how things are and how they want them to be.  Coaching enables clients to make huge leaps in designing and living their ideal life, both professionally and personally.

In my role as coach I serve as a co-strategist, accountability partner, sounding board, and cheerleader.  I provide unconditional support as a partner in helping you achieve what you want most.

What types of things do people work on with coaches?

A coach can help you:

·    Establish and accomplish organizational and personal goals

·    Achieve focus and clarity

·    Develop communication and life skills

·    Evaluate alternatives when making a decision

·    Improve relationships with colleagues, family and friends

·    Navigate a transition, such as career change, retirement, or change in marital status

·    Simplify and organize

·    Take care of yourself, physically and emotionally

·    Gain confidence

·    Make choices that honor your values

·    Live your life to the fullest

 How does coaching work?

We will meet either by telephone or in person, generally for three 40-minute sessions per month.  Everything you say during a coaching session is absolutely confidential, so it is a safe environment for you to express yourself honestly and without censorship.

I offer a complimentary discovery session so we can mutually determine if you are ready to work with a coach to make significant strides and to determine if we are a good match.  To schedule a complimentary session, contact me.
